This was the first tool in Valerie's range and their most popular seller. Used to smooth the marzipan onto the cake sides, this clearly defines the angle between the cake and cake board showing exactly where to trime away the excess and avoid 'undercut'.
The Side Edger is also used when the cake and cake board are covered all in one go. It will smooth the sugarpaste onto the cake sides and the cake board in one gentle action, leaving a smooth and uniform finish with a very neat crease line between cake and board: No need for piping or ribbons to cover up a join - there isn't one! You can of course still use ribbons or piping for decoration if you wish, with a lovely clean line to follow.
